Hi, I’m Janine Cuthbertson.

Janine Cuthbertson is a celebrant of life’s milestones who enjoys teenagers, friends, and family filling her kitchen. As a mother, she is embracing open-nesting as her birds launch. Since 2018 she has been building her doula path shaping her impact in the world. You will always find a golden retriever or two in her home, along with a paddleboard ready for any body of water. Laughing, sunsets, and the ocean feed her soul.

Janine has dedicated her career to building in-person and online communities for people to connect, inform, support, and inspire one another. Communities she has supported include inner-city youth, mothers, educators and now end-of-life doulas.

Janine trained with the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA) in 2023 and joined the team as Membership Coordinator. In the same year she completed Medical-Aid-in-Dying (MAiD) training as an end-of-life doula through the Academy of Aid in Dying Medicine (AADM). In 2026 she supported Hawaii’s first successful and documented VSED Bridge to MAiD patient, and looks forward to sharing Susan’s story to educate the deathcare community on the possibility of this option.

At home on Maui, she volunteers at Hospice Maui and supports patients and their circle of care through her private End-of-Life Doula and Navigtor practice.
